Queer and indigenous voices in 'HAMI EK'
Kathmandu, June 11 -- Parkhang Pasal presents 'HAMI EK', a queer art exhibition curated by artist Ugem, from June 16 to July 15.
Featuring participating artists Angel Rai, Mr Poul, Nangboong, Rabina, Suni and Ugem, 'HAMI EK' is, as they say, a sanctuary for their stories. In line with Pride Month, the exhibit creates a collective space where queer artists can share their experiences, emotions, and visions through creative expression.
It also brings the artistic embodiment of indigenous identities, examining the nuances of intersectionality and the overlapping social, cultural and political dimensions that shape individual experiences.
