Kathmandu, Nov. 15 -- All tickets for the opening match of the second season of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) have been sold out.
Chhumbi Lama, spokesperson of Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), said that every ticket for the first day-November 17-was purchased through the Khalti mobile wallet. The second edition of the NPL will run until December 13.
Khalti CEO Binay Khadka also confirmed on Friday that both premium and general tickets had sold out. Compared to the first season, where tickets were sold out within two to three hours, this year's opening-day tickets took nearly 24 hours to sell-still a sign of sustained enthusiasm for the league, he said.
To handle heavy traffic and demand, Khalti expanded its server capacity.
