Kathmandu, Jan. 15 -- A day after the Office of the Attorney General's Office (OAG) decided to withdraw organised crime and money laundering charges filed against Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) chair and former home minister Rabi Lamichhane in several district courts, CPN-UML chair KP Sharma Oli has criticised the move.
Oli condemned the decision, saying it exposed the absence of rule of law in the country. "In Nepal, might is right," he remarked during a UML function on Thursday. "This is how things have been running. The OAG has been stained for history. Can something like this really happen?"
Following the decision, government prosecutors in Kaski, Rupandehi, Kathmandu and Parsa will withdraw the organised crime and money laundering ...
