Kathmadnu, Feb. 25 -- The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index rose by 10.30 points on Wednesday, closing at 2,648.90.

The benchmark index gained 0.39 percent compared to the previous trading session. Nepse had increased by 21.62 points on Tuesday, extending its upward movement for the third consecutive day.

Market breadth remained positive, with share prices of 157 companies advancing, while 90 declined and 13 remained unchanged.

A total of 10,456,980 shares were traded through 48,640 transactions during the day. The total turnover amounted to Rs4.45 billion.

Turnover improved compared to the previous trading day, when shares worth Rs4.23 billion were traded.
