Kathmandu, Feb. 8 -- The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) witnessed double-digit losses on Sunday, slipping by 10.24 points. It had gained 27.19 points on Thursday.
With a decline of 0.37 percent compared to Thursday, the benchmark index settled at 2698.45 points today, the first trading day of the week. Of the traded companies, 85 saw a rise in their prices, while 168 companies recorded losses. The prices of seven companies remained unchanged.
A total of 26,236,204 shares were traded through 111,978 transactions on Sunday, generating a turnover of Rs 11.65 billion. The trading volume increased compared to the previous session, when transactions worth Rs 11.58 billion were recorded on Thursday.
