Kathmandu, March 8 -- Dhan Bahadur Budha of the Nepali Communist Party (NCP) has won the House of Representatives seat from Dolpa.

Budha secured 6,802 votes in the constituency, defeating CPN-UML candidate Lanka Bahadur Rokaya, who received 5,396 votes. The margin of victory was 1,406 votes.

Nepali Congress candidate Karna Bahadur Budha finished third with 2,947 votes.

Among other candidates, Dev Singh Aidi of the Rastriya Swatantra Party received 181 votes, Hari Prasad Dangi of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party got 92 votes, and independent candidate Omendra Bahadur KC secured 54 votes.
