Kathmandu, June 2 -- The Nepali men's cricket team have qualified for the Asian Games.

Nepal secured their berth in the multi-sport event, scheduled to be held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan this October, after Malaysia defeated China by nine wickets on Tuesday in the ongoing Asian Games Men's Qualifier in Singapore.

Batting first, China were restricted to just 84 runs for the loss of nine wickets. In reply, Malaysia chased down the target comfortably within eight overs.

With this result, both Nepal and Malaysia have moved to two points each in Group A, while China have been knocked out following back-to-back defeats.
