Kavre, Nov. 1 -- Vehicular movement along several sections of the BP Highway has come to a complete halt after heavy rainfall triggered mudslides across various locations, according to the District Police Office, Kavre.
The continuous rainfall since October 30 has caused landslides with heavy mud deposits at Chaukidanda, Dalabesi, Narke, Charsaya Besi and Ghumaune, completely obstructing the highway, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Rabin Bista, the information officer at the Kavre police office.
He said the downpour dislodged rocks and mud along different parts of the highway, making the road impassable since Friday morning.
