Kathmandu, April 23 -- Sambhav Sirohiya, the managing director of Kantipur Media Group, has resigned, expressing his discontent with Kantipur's recent stories.

In a message addressed to all KMG employees, he said his resignation would take effect immediately.

In his resignation note, Sirohiya said he had serious disagreements with the group's recent reporting-particularly stories published about then Home Minister Sudan Gurung. He wrote that the stories were sensational and sloppy. "I cannot lead a transformation [of KMG] while lending my name to journalism I do not believe in," he wrote on his resignation note.
