Kathmandu, March 7 -- Kathmandu ranked the world's third most polluted city in the globe at 12 pm on Friday. This is not the first time that the Capital witnessed severe air pollution this year, as air quality of the Valley has reached very unhealthy or hazardous levels almost every morning for the last several weeks.

Authorities have taken some measures to prevent further deterioration, but none have been effective in improving air quality.
