Nepal, Aug. 14 -- Heavy monsoon rains triggered floods and landslides across several parts of Nepal, leaving one person missing, at least two injured, damaging homes and bridges, and cutting off roads in Bajura, Kaski and Jajarkot.

In Bajura, one person was reported missing and two others injured after a landslide buried two houses in Tamsu of Triveni Municipality-9 on Thursday.

The landslide swept down the houses of 39-year-old Dharma Thapa and 43-year-old Karna Bahadur Thapa, damaging both structures, according to police.

Police said two people from the houses were injured, and another was missing, but their identities had not yet been established. Rescue efforts were hampered by continuing rain and the risk of further landslides.
