Kathmandu, June 6 -- Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal, who is on a three-day visit to India, said that the present leadership is free from the political baggage of the past and that the new government is ready to turn the page on years of political friction with India to build a relationship anchored in pragmatism, measurable outcomes, and mutual growth.

Khanal reached New Delhi on Friday on his first official foreign visit at the invitation of his Indian counterpart, S. Jaishankar.
