Kathmandu, Oct. 1 -- Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal will leave Kathmandu on Saturday to attend the Pre-COP Leaders' Event in Fiji and Tuvalu before travelling to Australia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Thursday.

Khanal will lead a Nepali delegation to the event, which will be held in Fiji and Tuvalu on October 5-6.

He is scheduled to deliver remarks at the leaders' plenary on October 6. Before the plenary, Khanal will attend a media question-and-answer session with the president of Palau and the prime ministers of Australia and Fiji, according to the ministry.

After the Pre-COP event, Khanal will travel to Australia, where he is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong on October 8. ...
