Kathmandu, June 16 -- Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal met Wang Huning, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, in Beijing on Tuesday.

Khanal is on a four-day visit to China. Wang, the fourth-ranking leader in China's ruling party hierarchy, said China was willing to work with Nepal, under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both countries, to maintain high-level exchanges, enhance mutual trust, deepen pragmatic cooperation, and promote Nepal-China relations for the benefit of both peoples, according to a statement issued by the Chinese side.
