Jajarkot, Sept. 11 -- None of the five motorable bridges being built along the Bheri Corridor in Jajarkot district has been completed nearly six years after their construction contracts were signed.

The bridges were supposed to be completed within three years. But work has either not started or remains limited to partially built pillars, delaying transport links to the remote northwestern district of Dolpa.

The Bheri Corridor, also known as the Jajarkot-Dunai-Marim-Tinje Dho Road Project, is being developed to connect Jajarkot with Dolpa. Road construction and upgrading have expanded road access towards Dolpa, but several bridges along the corridor have remained stalled for years.
