Kathmandu, Feb. 17 -- Police have obtained permission to keep medical entrepreneur Durga Prasain in custody for at least four days for investigation.
The District Administration Office, Kathmandu, granted permission to detain him on charges of spreading rumours about elections and committing an offence against public peace and security.
Senior Superintendent of Police Ramesh Thapa, chief of Kathmandu police, said police have been authorised to proceed with further investigation while keeping Prasain in custody.
Police arrested Prasain on Monday evening in Thimi and brought him to the District Police Range, Kathmandu.
This is not the first time Prasain has been arrested.
