Biratnagar, Feb. 11 -- Diamonds worth over Rs69 million that were allegedly smuggled into India via Nepal were seized at Bagdogra Airport in Siliguri, West Bengal, on Tuesday, various Indian media outlets reported. One person has been arrested in connection with the case.

According to reports citing India's Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), 46 diamonds with a total weight of 808.33 carats (161.66 grams) were recovered from the luggage of Deepak Kumar Mahasuklal Mehta, also known as Deepak Kumar Mehta, a resident of Delhi.
