Surkhet, March 12 -- A specialist team from the Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police has reached Surkhet to conduct further investigations into the death of Inisa BK.

BK, 16, originally from Gurbhakot Municipality-6 in Surkhet, who had been living in Birendranagar-1 to pursue her higher secondary education with her mother and brother, was found unconscious in the Bhairab Community Forest on March 7.

Police and locals rushed Inisa to the Provincial Hospital in Birendranagar where doctors declared her dead later that day. Family members claim that Inisa was raped before being killed.

The deployment of the CIB team acted on a request from the District Police Office after completing the first round of investigations.
