Hetauda, May 30 -- Vehicular movement along the Chitlang-Thankot road, a short route connecting Hetauda and Kathmandu, will be suspended from Sunday.

Traffic along the Chitlang-Thankot route, officially known as the Ganesh Man Singh Marga, will be closed for 14 days from May 31 to June 13 to facilitate road upgrade works.

According to the Road Division Office, Kathmandu, the closure is necessary to allow the construction company to undertake road concreting, blacktopping, and the construction of retaining walls.

Purushottam Bhandari, an engineer at the division, stated that allowing vehicles to pass through the construction site would disrupt work and increase the risk of accidents due to the difficult terrain of the road section. "Upg...
