Kathmandu, Jan. 21 -- The Election Commission (EC) has received complaints against several candidates, including former prime minister Madhav Kumar Nepal and Nagarik Unmukti Party leader Resham Chaudhary, who have registered nominations for the House of Representatives election scheduled for March 5.

The commission said objections have been lodged against former prime minister Madhav Kumar Nepal, Resham Lal Chaudhary and other candidates, challenging their eligibility to contest the election.

Nepal, former prime minister and Nepali Communist Party leader, has filed his candidacy from Rautahat-1. A complaint against him claims that he is ineligible to stand for election as a corruption case related to the Patanjali land scam is currently...
