Kathmandu, Oct. 9 -- Armed Police Force Additional Inspector General Banshiraj Dahal has been dismissed following an investigation into his conduct, Home Ministry spokesperson Ananda Kafle said.

An investigation committee led by AIG Anjani Kumar Pokharel submitted its report to the ministry on Thursday. The report concluded that Dahal had engaged in conduct contrary to established standards and recommended disciplinary action under the Armed Police Force Regulation.

Section 110 of the regulation provides for disciplinary penalties, divided into ordinary and special punishments.
