LUCKNOW, June 9 -- The Yogi government has launched a major initiative for the holistic development of rural Uttar Pradesh, with a planned investment of Rs 22,000 crore under various central and state schemes. This ambitious effort aims to equip villages with essential infrastructure and services, including sanitation, employment, housing, and drainage. Of the total investment, Rs 10,500 crore will come from centrally sponsored schemes, while nearly Rs 11,500 crore will be funded by the state-ensuring that rural areas are fully integrated into the mainstream of development.
