JAMMU, Aug. 27 -- In the aftermath of the unprecedented rainfall witnessed yesterday, the Vice Chairman, Jammu Development Authority (JDA), conducted an extensive inspection of flood-affected areas to assess the damages and initiate timely mitigation measures.
Accompanied by the SE, DLM, Executive Engineer, Tehsildar, AEE, and field staff, the Vice Chairman visited Transport Nagar and ISBT Narwal, where damages were caused due to diversion of a Nallah following mulba dumping.
During the visit, the Vice Chairman issued strict directions for immediate measures to prevent any further damage to public infrastructure and private property.
Accordingly, JCBs have been deployed by both JDA and NHAI to clear the debris and streamline water flow....
