Lucknow, July 17 -- Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh has scripted a new chapter in clean energy and energy self-reliance. Under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, Uttar Pradesh has overtaken Maharashtra to secure the second position in the country in residential rooftop solar installations. So far, 6,74,393 residential rooftop solar systems have been installed across the state.
In the national ranking under the PM Surya Ghar Yojana, Gujarat ranks first with 7,49,839 installations, while Uttar Pradesh has moved to second place with 6,74,393 installations. Maharashtra ranks third with 6,73,717 installations.
