JAMMU, May 8 -- The Department of Library and Information Science, University of Jammu organised an extension lecture on the topic "Sampling Techniques in Research" today at the department.
Dr. Shiv Kumar, Department of Library and Information Science (DLIS), Panjab University, Chandigarh, delivered the lecture as the resource person.
In his address, Dr. Shiv Kumar highlighted the significance of various sampling methods in the research process and explained the distinction between probability and non-probability sampling techniques. He also discussed the practical application of these methods in ensuring the validity and reliability of research data and emphasised their relevance in contemporary quantitative and qualitative research.
