JAMMU, March 24 -- The Department of Mathematics, University of Jammu, successfully organized the 33rd One-Day Student Conference in collaboration with the Jammu Mathematical Society (JMS) on March 24, 2026. The conference, a flagship academic activity of the department, provided a vibrant platform for students to present their ideas and research.
The conference was inaugurated by the Dean Academic Affairs, Professor J. P. Singh Joorel, who, in his inaugural address, highlighted the indispensable role of Mathematics in academics as well as in day-to-day life. He motivated students to appreciate the subject not only as a discipline but also as a tool for solving real-world problems.
