JAMMU, Oct. 7 -- The University of Jammu has officially appointed accomplished legal veteran Sh. Dinesh Singh Chauhan as a Professor of Practice in Law. The appointment, approved by the university administration on October 6, 2026, aims to enrich legal education by bringing nearly four decades of elite courtroom experience directly to the classroom.
The appointment is made on an honorary basis for an initial period of one year, with provisions for annual extensions up to a maximum of three years based on institutional requirements and contributions.
