JAMMU, June 5 -- Tawi Welfare Society (Regd.) observed World Environment Day by organizing a plantation care and cleanliness drive at Apnavan, Suray Chak. Volunteers watered saplings affected by the prolonged dry spell and prepared proper basins around the plants to ensure better water retention and healthy growth. A cleanliness campaign was also conducted in the newly developed park and playground, where weeds, unwanted grass and waste material were removed to maintain a clean and healthy environment.
