Jammu, Oct. 12 -- Prominent Congress leader and DDC Suchetgarh, Taranjit Singh Tony, has appealed to the Congress high command to consider a Sikh leader from Jammu and Kashmir for nomination to the Rajya Sabha, highlighting the need for adequate minority and regional representation in Parliament. In a statement issued in Jammu, Tony urged Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, senior leaders Rahul Gandhi, Digvijay Singh, and Tariq Hameed Karra, and the party's central screening committee to give due recognition to the Sikh community's contribution and sacrifices in Jammu and Kashmir.
