POONCH, Dec. 25 -- The Department of Social Welfare, Poonch, in collaboration with ALIMCO (Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India), organised a programme for the distribution of aids and appliances among specially abled persons of District Poonch, with the objective of promoting inclusion, mobility and independent living. The programme was graced by MLA Haveli, Mr. Ajaz Ahmed Jan, as the Chief Guest, who appreciated the initiative of the Social Welfare Department and highlighted the importance of empowering persons with disabilities through timely welfare interventions. He reaffirmed the government's commitment in supporting programmes aimed at the welfare and dignity of specially abled persons.
