Jammu, Sept. 22 -- On the auspicious first day of Navratra, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board restored the gift of sound to two more children suffering from profound hearing loss through life-changing cochlear implant surgeries. These implants help restore hearing and sound to children who are congenitally deaf and mute, giving them a chance to develop speech and live fully in society.
This milestone builds on the hospital's growing cochlear implant programme, made possible by the unwavering support of the Shrine Board, which has played a pivotal role in subsidising advanced procedures and extending logistical support so that cutting-edge healthcare reaches even the remotest parts of Jammu & Kashmir.
