Samba, Aug. 17 -- Intensifying its sustained campaign against bovine smugglers and their propagators, Samba Police has successfully foiled a bovine smuggling attempt within the jurisdiction of Police Station Ghagwal by arresting a bovine smuggler and rescuing fourteen (14) bovines. The vehicle used in the illegal transportation of bovines was also seized. A police team of PS Ghagwal while routine vehicle checking at naka NHW Tapyal, intercepted a Container truck bearing registration number HP38H-7827 which was coming from Kathua side. During search and checking, fourteen bovines were found inside the vehicle which were tied in a cruel manner and were being transported illegally without any valid permission.
