UDHAMPUR, May 25 -- The Revenue Department on today carried out an anti-encroachment drive in the Miya Bagh area along Dhar Road, Udhampur, to remove illegal structures raised on government land and roadside areas. The action was taken following instructions issued by Tehsildar Jai Singh after reports were received regarding fresh encroachments in the locality.
During the drive, concerned Naib Tehsildar Maroof khan , accompanied by the revenue staff and police personnel, reached the spot and supervised the operation. Several temporary structures like Khokas , and unauthorized constructions allegedly erected along the roadside were removed with the help of the department's team.
