REASI, July 2 -- As part of the ongoing 'Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan', Reasi Police continues its sustained drive against drug abuse and narcotics trafficking across the district.
On 01.07.2026, a police party of Police Station Katra, while performing naka checking duty at Balni Naka, Katra, intercepted a three-wheeler (Auto) bearing Registration No. JK14L-0421 for routine checking.
The driver disclosed his identity as Dinesh Kumar S/O Parma Nanda R/O Dera Baba, Tehsil and District Reasi. During the search, the police party recovered 3.6 grams of heroin (Chitta) along from his possession.
