REASI, Oct. 22 -- Continuing its sustained drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse, Reasi Police apprehended a person and recovered 7.8 grams of heroin at PCP Nomain, Katra, during routine checking and frisking.
On 21.10.2026, at about 1630 hours, a naka party of Police Station Katra was conducting vehicle checking and frisking pedestrians at PCP Nomain. During the checking, one person proceeding on foot from Domail towards Katra was intercepted and subjected to frisking. During his search, a transparent polythene pouch containing heroin was recovered from the right pocket of his trousers. The recovered contraband weighed 7.8 grams, including the polythene pouch.
