REASI, May 28 -- Continuing its sustained drive against drug menace under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyan, Reasi Police achieved another success by apprehending a drug peddler and recovering heroin (Chitta) from his possession at Katra.
On 27.05.2026, a police party of Police Station Katra while performing naka checking duty at Ambika Chowk, Katra, intercepted one suspicious person namely Ashok Kumar S/O Gagu R/O Matyal, Tehsil Katra, who was coming from Asia Chowk towards Fountain Chowk, Katra. During checking and personal search of the said person, approximately 2.5 grams of heroin (Chitta) was recovered from his possession.
