REASI, June 27 -- Continuing its sustained drive against drug trafficking under the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan, Reasi Police has detained a habitual drug peddler under the provisions of the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PIT NDPS) Act, 1988.
The detained person has been identified as Vishal Sharma alias Murli S/O Mohan Lal Sharma. He is a habitual drug peddler and was previously involved in the following NDPS cases registered at Police Station Katra:
FIR No. 266/2025 under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act.
FIR No. 65/2026 under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act.
