REASI, May 26 -- In a major action to maintain public order and communal harmony in the district, Reasi Police has detained a habitual bovine smuggler under the provisions of the J&K Public Safety Act (PSA), 1978.
The accused, Mohd Shakoor S/o Mohd Yousaf R/o Patta Kheral, District Reasi, was detained under PSA Order No. 01-PSA of 2026 dated 25-05-2026 issued by the District Magistrate Reasi. He has been lodged in District Jail Rajouri.
The accused was repeatedly involved in bovine smuggling activities and several cases were registered against him at Police Station Reasi. Despite being convicted in multiple cases earlier, he continued his illegal activities.
