LEH, Sept. 25 -- Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh, on September 25, 2026, flagged-in the First Ascent Mountaineering Expedition that scripted history by summiting 20 unclimbed peaks above 6,000 meters in Ladakh in just 23 days. This is the first-ever recorded summits of 20 unclimbed peaks in Chamser-Lungser, Gyama Nala and ?Chokula areas in Ladakh Range. The expedition was undertaken by a team of 20 highly skilled climbers from the National Institute of Mountaineering and Adventure Sports (NIMAS), Dirang, led by Col Ranveer Singh Jamwal.
