JAMMU, Aug. 31 -- As the nation prepared to unfurl the Tricolour and celebrate its Independence, the 8 J&K Girls Bn. NCC, Jammu, added a green hue to the spirit of patriotism by organising a Mega Plantation Drive-cum-Adoption of Green Space under the Government of India's "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" initiative.
The programme, organised in collaboration with the Urban Forestry Division, Jammu and the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), was held at Mata Savitribai Phule Chowk, near Bahu Police Station and Balidan Stambh, Jammu.
