SRINAGAR, May 11 -- Jammu and Kashmir Police have registered two separate FIRs against hotel and homestay owners in Srinagar for alleged violations under Section 8(23)B of the Immigration and Foreigners Act, officials said.
According to officials, Police Station Rajbagh registered FIR No. 20/2026 against the owners of Hotel "The Azara" located at Kursoo Rajbagh and "Mehatta Home Stay" situated in Rajbagh area of Srinagar.
Sources said the case was registered under Section 8(23)B of the Immigration and Foreigners Act, which generally pertains to alleged violations linked to mandatory verification, documentation, or reporting norms concerning foreign nationals staying in hotels, guest houses, or homestays.
