Jammu, June 16 -- In a significant success against the growing nexus between narcotics trafficking and terrorism, the Jammu and Kashmir Police, in a joint operation with the Punjab Police, arrested two drug traffickers from a residential flat in Dream City Colony, Amritsar, and recovered a cache of arms and narcotics.

During the operation, security personnel reportedly seized an AK-47 assault rifle, a pistol, and approximately 500 grams of a narcotic substance from the flat. Following the recovery, the area was immediately cordoned off and a detailed investigation was launched to ascertain the source of the weapons and drugs, as well as the possible involvement of a wider network.
