SRINAGAR, Oct. 15 -- Police in Srinagar arrested three accused involved in the axe attack on a youth in a city locality yesterday.
Police said a youth, Noman Yaqoob Khanday, was attacked with an axe by unidentified assailants near Haroon Bakery at Hilal Abad, Qamarwari on October 14.
The victim's father, Mohammad Yaqoob Khanday, a resident of Bilal Colony, Qamarwari, promptly reported the matter at Police Post Qamarwari. Upon receipt of the complaint, a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) - Sections 126(2), 115(2), and 109 - was registered at Police Station Parimpora.
