UDHAMPUR, Oct. 4 -- District Police Udhampur has booked and detained a notorious criminal under the J&K Public Safety Act (PSA) for his continued involvement in criminal activities.
The accused, Madan Lal S/O Chuni Lal R/O Gali Kotwalt, Tehsil Chenani, District Udhampur has been involved in a series of criminal acts for which multiple FIRs have been registered against him.
Being a habitual offender, his repeated involvement in unlawful activities posed a serious threat to public peace, safety and tranquility, compelling the authorities to take preventive action by detaining him under the J&K Public Safety Act vide order No. 11/2025 dated 11/09/2025 issued by District Magistrate Udhampur.
