MALIGAON, May 27 -- In a significant step towards preservation of India's rich railway heritage, Northeast Frontier Railway has successfully renovated the historic Steam Locomotive No. 808-C Class NG Loco of Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (DHR) Type (4-6-2) Pacific with an upgraded heritage display installed at the Headquarter campus, Maligaon.
The renovated heritage locomotive was inaugurated on 26th May, 2026 by Chetan Kumar Shrivastava General Manager, Northeast Frontier Railway in the presence of senior railway officials and staff members.
