JAMMU, June 23 -- Senior BJP leader and Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament Nominated Shri Gulam Ali Khatana on Monday launched a sharp attack on the Omar Abdullah-led National Conference Government, accusing it of neglecting the educational needs of the Gujjar-Bakerwal community by failing to deploy Seasonal Teachers at migratory schools despite the commencement of the annual migration season.
Taking serious note of the issue, Khatana said that thousands of Gujjar and Bakerwal families have already begun their seasonal migration to upper reaches, but the Government has yet to ensure the availability of teachers for children studying at migratory educational centres.
