JAMMU, April 10 -- The Modi-led Union Government has continued the practice started in 2015 by declaring Dr. B. R. Ambedkar's birth anniversary as a public holiday this year as well.

BJP spokesperson and former Vice Chairman Balbir Ram Rattan said this. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Government of India has ensured uniform and nationwide recognition of Ambedkar Jayanti by declaring it a public holiday.
