JAMMU, April 10 -- In a significant step towards urban beautification and cleanliness, MLA Jammu West Arvind Gupta today kick started work on a vertical garden in Ward No. 24, converting a site that had remained a garbage dump for nearly three decades into a green public space.

The project, estimated at ?25 lakh, is being developed on the key approach road to Rehari Colony, connecting Wards 24, 25, 26, and 39. Despite being part of a well-developed area, this stretch had long been plagued by waste dumping, affecting the locality's image and hygiene.
