JAMMU, June 11 -- Delivering on a long-standing commitment to the residents of Mazdoor Basti, MLA Jammu West Arvind Gupta today inaugurated the construction and improvement work of a major nallah in Ward No. 13 at an estimated cost of Rs 5.30 crore, bringing an end to a civic issue that had remained unresolved for nearly three decades.
The project, dedicated to the people of Mazdoor Basti, aims to permanently address chronic drainage problems, waterlogging and sanitation concerns that have plagued the locality for over 30 years. During heavy rains, residents often witnessed flood-like situations, causing immense hardship to families and posing serious health and safety risks.
