Chandigarh, Oct. 7 -- The NSS Units and Geetanjali Counselling Helpline of Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, in collaboration with Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Chandigarh, organised an awareness session on 'Alcoholism and its Management'. Mr. Sanjeev Kaushal, CPC Chairman, Alcoholics Anonymous, Chandigarh, was the resource person for the session, and was accompanied by a team of AA members- Mr. Dilbagh Singh, Ms. Roopam Singh, Ms. Amber and Ms. Anjali.
The session shed light on the physical, emotional and social repercussions of alcoholism, underscoring the importance of early diagnosis, timely intervention and the availability of robust support systems such as counselling and rehabilitation.
